What is the Gospel?

Simply put the Gospel means that we are saved by Grace through Faith in Jesus Christ.  This salvation is not from us, it is entirely the Work of God.  In the Gospel, people who are dead in their sin are made alive in Christ - not because of a decision they made or for any religious reasons, only because of God's perfect sovereignty, holiness, and grace.

  • God saves sinners.
  • He saves sinners by the life, death & resurrection of Jesus Christ.
  • God saves us from His Wrath.
  • God saves for His Glory!

5 Solas

We are grateful to our church fathers who were shaped by the Word of God.  For it is by GRACE ALONE that we are saved by FAITH ALONE, in CHRIST ALONE, found in the SCRIPTURES ALONE and it is all to the GLORY OF GOD ALONE.

  1. Sola Gratia
  2. Sola Fide
  3. Solus Christus
  4. Sola Scriptura
  5. Soli Deo Gloria

Doctrines of Grace

Theology Matters. Theology is the "Theos" "Logos".

The Bible is clear on the following:

  • Totally Depravity: Due to the fall of man, man is totally depraved in his sin. This is referred to as original sin. (Romans 3:23)
  • Unconditional Election: God places no condition on electing his people, there is nothing in us that deserves our Father choosing His people before the foundation of the world. But that He did so out of love. (Ephesians 1:3-10)
  • Particular Redemption is: to quote Jesus, that “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6:44). The blood of Christ covers completely the sins of God’s people.
  • All-Powerful Grace, means that we are saved only by Grace Alone. It is only by God’s authority, his sovereignty, his work, his authorship, and his glory that he elects to save his people. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
  • Certainty of Perseverance for the Saints, those who are born-again, can never lose their salvation. “For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” (Romans 11:29)
